LEM Medical Clinic
Reaching Hearts for Jesus Through Healthcare
The LEM Medical Clinic was opened in 2013 under the leadership of Zach Byington, our missionary from the States. The services provided include
labor and delivery
diagnosing and treating illness and disease
rehabilitating malnourished children
health education and awareness
Our care and gentle treatment of pregnant women has drawn dozens to deliver at our clinic. These women have told us how grateful they are for the loving care they receive during the difficult time of labor and delivery.
The clinic had to shut down during the Ebola crisis, but was able to reopen in 2016. We are now continuing in our efforts to serve the Fendel community with the highest quality care available. We also see patients from surrounding counties, such as Montserrado and Margibi. Patients will travel for the care at our facility because good medical care is difficult to find in many areas of Liberia.
The Lord has blessed our clinic with excellent nursing staff. We have also been blessed with a foreign medical doctor who treats patients twice a week. Annually, we have doctors visit on medical missions serving our campus and clinic.
Every morning, the waiting patients participate in a devotional time and in prayer. The nurses also pray with their patients and offer counseling as needed. We are truly reaching hearts for Jesus through the healthcare we provide.
