How to Help: Needs List
LEM is grateful for any and all contributions. LEM has been blessed to have received cash donations to permit construction on the Multi-Purpose Education Center and support existing ministry efforts. Durable goods contributed so far include a pickup truck, an 18-passenger van donated by First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze, Florida; and a utility truck donated by Webb Electric Company of Florida in Pensacola.
Examples of items we need, or projects we are seeking to fund, are listed below.
- English-language Bibles
- English-language Bible dictionaries
- Christian-based printed, English-language materials for distribution and teaching (pamphlets, workbooks, lesson plans, books, etc.)
- CDs and DVDs of Christian songs, sermons, movies and Bible stories
- Multimedia equipment such as televisions, CD and DVD players, projection screens and projectors
- Microphones and speakers
- Backpacks and bookbags
- School supplies such as notebooks, paper, pencils, pencil sharpeners and erasers, chalk and chalkboards (or chalkboard paint)
- 13 to 50 KVA Generator or Solar energy, gas powered portable generators and heavy-duty outdoor extension cords
- Multi-geared mountain bikes (requested due to difficult terrain and unpaved roads)
- Pickup trucks
- Heavy construction equipment (Dump trucks-10 tires, Kobuta or tractor with a backhoe, bulldozer, cement mixer)
- Battery operated wheelchairs, regular wheelchairs
- Walkers of all kinds, canes, crutches
- Resin-type chairs and PVC piping for wheelchair program
- Hand pumps for water wells
- Well drilling equipment
- Farming equipment such as tillers, chain saws, machetes, axes, shovels, wheelbarrows, utility carts, hand tools
- Bags of cement (estimated need for over 2,000 bags)
- Cement block making equipment (both hand and mechanized) and cement blocks
- Steel rods for construction
- Toilets, sinks, interior doors and frames, cabinets, tables and chairs, fluorescent lighting fixtures and bulbs
- First-Aid manuals and training literature First-Aid supplies (sterile gauze bandages, ACE wraps, antibiotic ointment, adhesive type bandages, acetaminophen, cold remedies, iodine solution, hydrogen peroxide, Steri-strip type wound adhesive, tweezers, sharp scissors, tape, instant ice packs)
- Advanced medical equipment and pharmaceuticals for Outreach Clinic and Mobile Unit
