2009/2010 Mission Trip
On November 16th, 2009, Brother Mark departed for West Africa. In Togo, LEM held revival services and ministered over the radio to thousands of people. On Jan. 29th, 2010, Engineering Mission International (EMI) visited LEM representatives in Liberia. EMI undertook survey work for LEM and is scheduled to design the following for LEM: complete surveying of the entire ministry property; design a master plan; refine designs for the Education and Vocational Center, the church, dormitory and future structures to enhance the advancement of the Gospel via LEM.
One of the most pressing projects was to erect the walls of the Multi-Purpose Education Center, which has been completed to roof level. Formwork was positioned over the library and conference rooms, and a concrete roofing slab was poured. LEM also completed its guest house, where the EMI team was lodged.
Evangelism efforts this trip brought 40 people to accept Jesus as Savior. The Children’s and Youth Bible Conference was fruitful. LEM continues to supply food and nutritional needs. Also, LEM has begun making dirt bricks for the construction of a mini orphanage for our orphans (presently 26 children) who currently live in a 10 x 12 room with no interior bathroom.
